Here the eastern extensions of the Pyrenees fall in part dramatically off into the Mediterranean. The coastal road brings you through breathtaking scenery toward France with castle ruins and monasteries along the route. A little further south lie picturesque coves — this is where the great surrealist painter Dalí lived.
